Maiden voyage of new Cork-Swansea ferry

Ferry - New service
Ferry - New service

A new ferry service between Cork and Swansea has begun operating.

The first sailing with some 200 passengers on board docked at Ringaskiddy in Co Cork this morning.

The new ferry service, operated by the Fastnet Line, is the first between Cork and Swansea since 2006.

It was established after around €300m in funding was raised from the public and from public bodies in the southwest.
