The HSE is making a final call for people in at-risk groups to be vaccinated against human swine flu at its clinics by the first of February.
The vaccine will be available to those over 65 years until mid February, as this programme began later.
Dr Pat Doorley, the HSE's national director of population health, said that in mid February the HSE will start offering the vaccine to the general public, through public service and private employers, for administration through their occupational health programmes.
People who can not avail of the vaccine through these avenues will be offered the vaccine at HSE clinics.
Human swine flu infection rates remain similar to last week, with around 1,000 new cases seen this week.
No further deaths have been reported.
