Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is to give evidence to the Iraq inquiry on Friday week.
The inquiry is looking at UK policy before and after the 2003 war.
Mr Blair, the highest profile figure to appear before the panel, will face six hours of questioning.
A public ballot is to be held for people who want to watch his evidence session.
A third of the seats are being set aside for bereaved families of British military personnel killed in Iraq.
Other key witnesses appearing next week will include Elizabeth Wilmshurst, the former UK foreign office legal advisor who quit in protest at the invasion. She will give evidence on Tuesday, along with former foreign secretary Margaret Beckett.
Two former British defence secretaries, Des Browne and John Hutton, will appear on Monday.
