Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan will unveil one of the most important budgets in decades on Wednesday, 9 December, 2009.

Users will be able to watch and hear the complete Budget speech by the Minister for Finance, Brian Lenihan, as well as getting in-depth analysis and reaction from the RTÉ News team.

Television
Budget 2010 programming starts at 3.20pm on RTÉ One. The programme will include the Budget speech by Brian Lenihan, with studio analysis and reaction from politicians and a panel of experts who will analyse the implications of the Budget for the country.
There is additional programming on RTÉ Two starting at 4.25pm until 7.00pm with live coverage of Dail proceedings, including Opposition parties' responses to the Budget speech.
A specially-extended RTÉ Six-One News, broadcasting until 7.25pm, will provide a comprehensive look at the Budget with analysis from our correspondents and early reaction from politicians and interest groups.
Following an extended 9pm News, there will be a Prime Time Budget Special.
RTÉ Nuacht will also be providing a comprehensive Budget Day service from 5.45pm. Nuacht will also co-produce an hour-long budget special on TG4 at 7pm, with updates and summaries as well as political and public analysis of the Budget 2010 proposals, with a particular eye on implications for seaboard regions and language affairs.
Radio
RTÉ Radio 1 will have live coverage, reaction and analysis of the Budget in a Drivetime Budget Special from 3pm.
Morning Ireland will be providing budget reaction and analysis from 7am on Thursday 10 December.
Following that, on Today with Pat Kenny, the Minister for Finance will be live in studio taking calls and reaction from members of the public.
RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta will broadcast the Budget Day proceedings live from Leinster House from 3.30pm.
A panel of speakers, including Peter Rigney, Industrial Officer with ICTU, journalist Áine Ní Chiaráin, tax expert Ciarán Ó Feinneadha and stockbroker and pensions expert Eimear Ní Fhlannagáin will analyse the budget as it is announced.
RTÉ Radio 1 Extra, Radio 1’s digital sister channel, will feature a day-long live feed from Leinster House.
