DUP leader Peter Robinson has again failed to set a firm date for the transfer of policing and justice powers to Stormont.

Addressing his annual party conference in Belfast, the Stormont First Minister also called on Sinn Féin to show leadership and stop threatening to pull down the power sharing government.

The transfer of policing and justice powers to Stormont is the final piece of the power sharing jig-saw. Sinn Féin want it now but the DUP say it will only happen when there is widespread community support for it.

That position was hardened by party leader Peter Robinsopn who told delegates that the two ministries would only be transferred on DUP terms.

Mr Robinson also urged Sinn Féin to stop looking over its shoulder at the SDLP and at dissident republicans.

He said that for Sinn Féin to be threatening the existing Stormont institutions was just dumb.
