Swine flu vaccination campaign to begin

Vaccination - At-risk patients a priority
Vaccination - At-risk patients a priority

Special HSE clinics and GPs will offer free vaccination from tomorrow to over 400,000 people at special risk if they contract human swine flu.

Those considered at risk are people aged six months to 65 years who have chronic conditions and pregnant women.

The HSE is advising this group to contact their GP to make an appointment to get the vaccine.

Vaccinations are also available at one of 45 HSE clinics around the country if a patients' GP is not offering the vaccine.

Details of HSE clinic locations are available at www.swineflu.ie or from the HSE's hotline on 1800-94-11-00.

When this phase of the programme is completed, vaccination will be offered to health staff, children and the over-65s and then the rest of the population.
