FÁS has confirmed that 15 more courses are now under investigation.
This follows the investigation of two training courses which had falsified course results in the northeast.
City and Guilds says that after their one independent investigations that the two courses have been issued with verification reports.
Critics are concerned that the controversy will place a question mark both in Ireland and abroad over the validity of all FÁS certified courses.
It emerged in recent days that a trainer in a company contracted by FÁS to do training courses had manipulated test results to pass students who should have failed.
