An 18-year-old man has died and four people were injured in a road crash in Co Cork last night.
The single vehicle crash occurred at Spurhill, Togher, at 9.15pm.
All five occupants of the car were taken to Cork University Hospital, where the driver was later pronounced dead.
The four other male passengers, who are all in their late teens, have since been released from hospital.
The scene of the crash has been sealed off for a forensic examination.
Meanwhile, gardaí at Caherciveen, Co Kerry, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 53-year-old man near the village of Sneem early this morning.
It is understood that the man, who was from the area, was pushing a car with another man when the car rolled backwards over him.
He sustained serious injuries and later died.
The incident happened just off the Kenmare Road, less than a mile from Sneem.
The area was sealed off for a forensic examination.
Elsewhere, a 23-year-old man has died in hospital today from injuries suffered in a Co Down car accident earlier this month.
He was one of three men in their 20s taken to hospital after they crashed on the Ballycrocken Road in Bangor on 18 September.
