Two rockets have been fired from a village in southern Lebanon into northern Israel.
The rockets were the first fired in months from Lebanon, where Israel and Hezbollah guerrillas fought a month-long war in 2006.
There were no reports of injuries from the rockets that struck in the western Galilee area.
Israeli police said they found debris from Katyusha rockets near the northern city of Nahariya, while witnesses said they heard explosions.
An Israeli army spokesman said they responded to the attacks, without giving further details.
A Lebanese security official said two rockets were fired from Al-Qlaileh, 15km from the border.
No group has yet claimed responsibility.
