A truck bomb has exploded at a local police headquarters in Russia's Ingushetia region, leaving 20 people dead.
The truck blew up after driving through the gates of the police base in the town of Nazran.
Local officials said the truck blew up near the police armament depot, setting off explosions of ammunition that shook the area well after the initial blast.
The bomb exploded as police lined up for morning inspection and all cars and buildings in the police headquarters compound were completely destroyed.
The attack has underscored growing fears over stability in the region.
Ingushetia is one of seven administrative territories known as 'republics' that constitute the North Caucasus region in southern Russia, long the most unstable part of the country.
Last Wednesday, the republic's construction minister, Ruslan Amerkhanov, was shot dead in an attack inside his own office.
