Road accident investigators are examining the scene of a crash that claimed the lives of two men near Killarney, Co Kerry.
Timothy Reidy, 19, of Kilcow in Castleisland and Peter Galway, 21, from Fahaduff, Castleisland, were killed when the car they were travelling in hit a wall and caught fire.
The accident occurred at Lawlor's Cross on the main Killarney to Tralee Road at around 12.20am this morning.
The two friends were returning home from Killarney last night when it is understood the car went out of control.
Their bodies have since been removed from the scene.
The stretch of road has been the scene of several accidents, according to locals.
Early indications are that while it was raining last night, the road was in a good condition at the time of the crash.
Gardaí at Killarney have appealed for witnesses.
