Cork City Council has again appealed to the public not to feed bread to the swans and ducks at the Lough.
At least 40 swans and the same number of ducks died after an outbreak of botulism in June.
More dead ducks were pulled from the fresh-water city lake yesterday along with six sick swans displaying symptoms of botulism poisoning.
The massive outbreak in June was caused by a combination of factors including a drop in the water levels, dry weather and people feeding bread to the birds.
Signs warning people not to feed bread to the birds will be erected by the weekend.
