Eight Dutch tourists were killed and 42 people were injured in a bus crash last night near Barcelona.
The bus, carrying 65 passengers, went off the road when exiting a highway and tipped over at San Pol de Mar, Dutch tour operator Sundio Group said.
Some of the survivors are seriously injured.
A spokesman for Dutch emergency assistance group SOS International did not rule out the possibility the death toll might rise.
A fire brigade spokesman said the accident occurred at 11.15pm (10.15pm Irish time).
