The ESB demolished two more chimney stacks at an old power station site in Co Offaly today.

The red and white tower in Shannonbridge was over 90m tall and was one of the best known landmarks in the midlands.

A second chimney, built in 1962, was also demolished in a controlled explosion just before 11am.
