Taoiseach Brian Cowen has attened the first meeting of the Innovation Taskforce at Government Buildings.
The Taskforce was established late last month to advise the Government on its strategy for positioning Ireland as an International Innovation Hub.
It will examine how Ireland can increase innovation and commercialisation, intensify foreign direct investment in high-value areas and develop the country's indigenous enterprise sector.
