Up to 500,000 people are expected to attend the annual Orange celebrations in Northern Ireland today.

For the first time most shops in Belfast city centre will open once the parade leaves the area.

This year's parades are taking place a day later because the 12 July fell on a Sunday.

Members of hundreds of Orange Order lodges are expected to march in 18 venues across Northern Ireland.

Belfast is the key event but three flagship parades in Bangor and Banbridge, Co Down, and Larne, Co Antrim, are also expected to attract tens of thousands of spectators.
