The annual Orange Order parade in Drumcree passed off peacefully, with the PSNI mounting the smallest operation in over a decade.

The contentious march has been re-routed away from the mainly nationalist Garvaghy Road by the Parades Commission since 1998.

Northern Ireland's First Minister, Peter Robinson, is to meet both sides to try to resolve the dispute.

However, a spokesperson for the Garvaghy Road Residents Association, while welcoming the development, said to his mind the issue had been resolved.
