Thirteen people have been injured,after a train derailed near the southwestern French city of Limoges.

Two carriages derailed after the train rammed into a trailer carrying straw which had accidentally toppled on the tracks.

Several other train carriages went off the tracks but did not overturn.

An emergency rescue worker on the site said of the 13 injured, only two were in a serious condition.

The train was carrying 450 passengers.

It was running between Paris and Cahors. The accident happened at around 8.40pm (french time).
