Renewable energy company Airtricity is promising to create 200 new jobs.
It says 50 of the jobs will be at its Sandyford headquarters in Dublin and the other 150 will be through indirect contracts.
The new jobs will be in sales, customer support, billing and support services.
The company is competing with the ESB and Bord Gáis to supply electricity to homes.
