The Minister for Finance has said the new toxic debt agency will stand up to any legal challenge from developers or other vested interests.
Brian Lenihan said that despite concerns that lawyers would attempt to dismantle it, the legal arrangements for NAMA will be robust.
Speaking on RTÉ's Morning Ireland, he said that the Government was taking its time in setting up the agency to ensure the taxpayer was protected.
Mr Lenihan also said the Government is very stable and the two coalition parties are working well together.
He was reacting to reports at the weekend of disagreement between the Fianna Fáil and Green Party leaderships.
