A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of two soldiers at Massereene Barracks in Co Antrim.

The man was arrested by police during a search operation in Magherafelt, Co Derry, this morning.

Searches are also being carried out in Pomeroy and Dungannon in Co Tyrone.

One man, prominent dissident republican Colin Duffy, has so far been charged with the murders.

British soldiers Mark Quinsey, 23, from Birmingham, and Patrick Azimkar, 21, from London, were shot dead and five other people were injured in the attack on 7 March.

The Real IRA claimed responsibility for the shooting.
