The Minister for the Environment and Green Party leader, John Gormley has said that within the next two years we should see a turnaround in the economy.

On RTÉ Radio's This Week, Mr Gormley said he believed that the fundamentals of the Irish economy were still strong enough but that the Green vision 'was the only one to get us through'.

He also said he was happy with the establishment of the assets management agency, NAMA.

Mr Gormley said reports that developers were contemplating taking a legal challenge against it showed it was not a bailout for banks and builders.
