A Euromillions ticket holder in Spain has broken the European lottery's record by winning a €126m jackpot.
The previous record had been held by Dolores McNamara of Limerick, who won more than €115m in 2005.
Euro Millions, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, brings together France, the UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Austria.
The jackpot begins at €15m each week and is rolled over if there is no winner.
The world record for a game of chance is $390m (€286m), which was shared by two winners of the super jackpot in the American Mega Millions lottery in March 2007.
