Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has ordered that presidential elections be held by April.
The Independent Election Commission shall conduct presidential, provincial council and other elections according to provisions of the constitution, Mr Karzai said in a decree released by his office.
The constitution says the election must be held before 21 May.
