At least eight people were killed in a series of bombings in Baghdad this morning.

Up to 25 people were injured.

Three soldiers were killed and another four civilians were injured when a roadside bomb exploded as their convoy was moving in Yarmuk area in western Baghdad.

Earlier three civilians were killed and 10 wounded in a roadside bomb attack that was followed by a car bomb blast in Jadidah, in the east of the capital.

In the central commercial district of Karrada, a roadside bomb killed one person and injured three.

In north Baghdad, one civilian was killed and another was wounded when a roadside bomb exploded near a police checkpoint.

And in another attack seven people including three policemen were injured when a roadside bomb targeted a police patrol near the Shaab sports stadium in central Baghdad.
