The search for a missing Kildare teenager who disappeared near a popular beach in Co Wexford on New Year's Eve has been scaled down for the night.
18-year-old Conal Owens from Naas became separated from his friends close to Curracloe Beach.
A large number of people assisted in the search for Conal, including the Coast Guard, Civil Defence, Garda Specialist Units, Order of Malta and volunteers.
Today the search has been widened away from the beach and has moved inland.
Local gardaí describe some of the terrain in the area as difficult.
When last seen Conal was wearing blue jeans and a distinctive red hooded sweatshirt with the words 'C - UNIT' printed in white across the chest.
He is described as 1.7m (5’7"), with brown hair cut short and of stocky build.
