A Mass was held in Dublin this morning to mark one year since the disappearance of Amy Fitzpatrick in Spain.
The teenager is from Dublin but was living in the Costa del Sol.
She went missing on 1 January 2008 after spending New Year's Eve at a friend's house near Mijas.
Speaking on RTÉ Radio's News At One, Amy's mother Audrey and her stepfather Dave Mahon said they are still hoping she will make contact.
