Airbus jet plunges into Mediterranean

Two people have been found dead and five are missing following the crash of an Airbus airliner off the south-western coast of France.

The plane crashed during a training flight.

The wreck of the plane has been located off the southern city of Perpignan, from where it had taken off.

A rescue plane and a rescue helicopter and coastguard ships were scouring the area around the crash site.

The Airbus A320 belonged to Air New Zealand.
