Three people have been killed in separate road accidents in Northern Ireland.

A woman died in a three car collision on the Forkhill Road, outside Newry, Co Down. The crash occurred at around 9.15pm last night near Meigh village.

She has been named as 45-year-old Theresa McGovern, who was from the Newry area.

In Co Derry, a man was killed in an accident involving two vehicles on the Ballykelly Road near Limavady.

The crash happened at 10.30pm last night and police said the road was closed for several hours.

A pedestrian died after he was knocked down on the Connor Road in Parkgate village near Templepatrick, Co Antrim, yesterday at about 6.45pm.

Separately, a woman was being treated in hospital in Belfast after she was knocked down on the Crumlin Road area in the north of the city last night.
