Talks to avert industrial action at Aer Lingus are set to continue tomorrow.
In a statement issued this evening, SIPTU National Industrial Secretary, Gerry McCormack, said the meeting was being held to allow the LRC to determinee if there is a basis for further engagement with the union on Sunday.
Aer Lingus management and SIPTU attended talks at the LRC today.
They met in a bid to avert industrial action at the airline over a €50m rationalisation plan.
The move follows an intervention by the high-level industrial arbitrator, the National Implementation Body.
The LRC is expected to report back to the NIB on Monday.
