A new 'as Gaeilge' mobile phone handset is being launched on the Irish market today.
Samsung Electronics says the handset, offering the Gael Fón feature, will be available in stores nationwide from this month.
Gael Fón offers Irish as a language option as well as enabling users to use the predictive text as gaeilge.
Gary Twohig, of Samsung Mobile Ireland, said the company is committed to the Irish market, and the new phone is the latest in a line of handsets we will be launching with the Gael Fón feature.
He said the phone is being launched in direct response to demands from customers for an Irish phone that is competitively priced.
Next year every new phone Samsung launched in the Irish market will have Gael Fón available on it.
