President Mary McAleese attended Sligo General Hospital yesterday evening after complaining of feeling unwell.
Mrs McAleese felt ill at her family home in Roscommon, after a day of engagements in the region.
She presented herself to Sligo General Hospital where she remained for a couple of hours.
When she was discharged, she returned to Áras an Uachtaráin.
