Dublin's Dundrum Town Centre has said 444 jobs will be created this year when two new shopping and leisure areas are fully opened.

The town centre opened in March 2005, and since then it has had more than 52m visitors.

However, the footfall is expected to rise considerably when two new shopping and leisure areas are fully operational in November.

The new Dundrum South District, located on Sandyford Road, will house retailers such as Snow and Rock, Hughes & Hughes and Elverys Sports.

The new Pembroke District, which is just off the town square itself, will be home to world famous toy retailer Hamleys, fashion house Gant, and food outlets.

Some of the new tenants will be offering their positions at a jobs fair being held on 12 September in the centre.

The latest boost follows the arrival of 600 new employees at the centre in June, when Royal & Sun Alliance relocated its head office to the development.
