An Irishwoman has died in a road traffic collision in Australia.
It is understood the woman was originally from Limerick.
The accident happened on Thursday in New South Wales.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is currently providing consular assistance to the woman's family.
The death brings to three the number of Irish people killed on the roads in Australia in recent days.
Also on Thursday, two Irish men aged 24 and 25 died in a collision between their station wagon and a truck on the Bruce Highway about 30km south of Cardwell in Queensland.
Three other people who were also travelling in the station wagon were injured.
