The private bus operator, which the Transport Minister Noel Dempsey has acknowledged was the victim of predatory behaviour by Dublin Bus, is to take legal action against the State owned bus company.
In a statement this afternoon, the managing director of the Circle Line bus company Paul Morton said: 'I am at present in talks with my legal team and will be seeing Dublin Bus in court.'
His comments follow the release of documents that revealed Dublin Bus was running unauthorised services on the same route as Circle Line. Dublin Bus claimed it was doing nothing wrong.
The private bus operator said the practice by Dublin Bus forced Circle Line into liquidation last month with the loss of 27 jobs.
A second private bus operator, the Swords Express, is already engaged in legal action against the State regarding the issuing of a licence to Dublin Bus to run an express service to Swords.
