The two men who were killed in a three-vehicle collision in Co Monaghan yesterday afternoon have been named.
They were 53-year-old Michael Walsh of Beauford Place, Navan, Co Meath, and 77-year-old Frank Keenan of Brackagh, Broomfield, Co Monaghan.
The crash - involving a lorry and two vans - occurred on the N2 road between Castleblayney and Carrickmacross at about 1pm.
Mr Keenan, who was driving one of the vans, died at the scene. Mr Walsh, who was driving the other van, was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
The driver of the lorry was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, Co Louth, where his injuries were said to be not life-threatening.
