A controversial annual Orange parade in west Belfast passed off without incident this afternoon.
A group of nationalist residents staged a peaceful demonstration when a section of the parade was allowed to walk along part of the Springfield Road, close to their homes.
Three years ago there had been serious trouble involving loyalists and police.
The Parades Commission Chairman Roger Poole welcomed the peaceful outcome, and called on both sides to engage in dialogue to find a long-term resolution to the issue.
