Zimbabwean opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has been released from police custody after being arrested earlier today for the fifth time this week.
The Movement for Democratic Change said Mr Tsvangirai and 11 other members of the party were detained at a road block.
He will contest a run-off vote against President Robert Mugabe on 27 June.
The Movement for Democratic Change said it was now ‘impossible to talk about free and fair elections’, while President Mugabe said the MDC would never rule Zimbabwe and he was prepared to - as he put it – ‘go to war’ for the country.
