Peter Robinson - Wants talks to resolve power-sharing issues

The Ulster Unionists will today discuss a plan by Northern Ireland First Minister Peter Robinson to hold round-table talks to broker deals on the issues dividing the power-sharing executive.

The main points of contention are the transfer of policing and justice powers from Westminster to Stormont and the establishment of an Irish Language Act.

Following last week's meeting between the DUP and Sinn Féin in Downing Street, Mr Robinson said he would like to see all four government parties in the North taking part in talks to find a solution to outstanding issues.
