Visitor restrictions have been put in place at the Mid Western Regional hospital in Limerick following an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.
The Health Service Executive says there have been three confirmed cases in one medical ward.
Members of the public are being asked to curtail visits as strict infection precautions have been put in place.
In particular, the elderly and children are being asked not to visit the hospital and attendances at the Accident and Emergency Department should only take place if they are absolutely necessary.
