Electricity prices in Northern Ireland are to rise by 14%.
Northern Ireland Electricity said the increase for domestic and business customers will come into effect from 1 July.
The company, which cites escalating wholesale energy prices worldwide for the hike, warned another bill rise was likely in the autumn.
It said the cost of gas, coal, oil and other fuels used to generate electricity had risen by 85% on average since the last time it reviewed prices.
NIE Energy supplies 738,000 domestic and 48,000 business customers.
