Up to 25 Irish truck drivers are locked within the compound of Cherbourg Harbour as a result of a protest by French fishermen.
The drivers arrived into the port on Friday morning onboard the Diplomat from Rosslare.
However, they have not been allowed to leave the harbour compound with their trucks.
Most of the drivers were transporting perishable goods. Up to 80 freights are now stranded.
13 consignments of livestock were given permission to leave the harbour area over the weekend.
The ferry itself has not been allowed reload and remains anchored at the port.
