A 13-year-old girl has drowned in the sea off the beach in Inchydoney, Co Cork.
The alarm was raised around 6pm.
The girl's body has been brought to University Hospital Cork, where a post mortem examination will be carried out.
Gardaí in Clonakilty have launched an investigation.

The Coastguard was alerted and the RNLI lifeboat from Courtmacsherry was launched.
