Taoiseach Brian Cowen is in Cardiff for talks with the Welsh First Minister Rhodri Morgan.
They will discuss Irish-Welsh relations and matters relating to the British Irish Council.
Mr Cowen is also scheduled to attend the Heineken Cup final at the Millennium Stadium, where Munster will play Toulouse.
