Aircraft maintenance company SR Technics has given its 1,200 staff until close of business on Friday to agree a set of cost-cutting reforms to be implemented by 1 June.
Earlier today, the company's Swiss-based Group Chief Executive Bernd Kessler met union representatives during a visit to the Dublin operation.
SR Technics recently lost three of its four aircraft maintenance contracts with Aer Lingus – but it is due to sign a line maintenance contract with the company by the end of the week.
It is seeking savings of around €5m from its cost base.
It has withheld the last 2.5% pay increase due under Towards 2016 and has acknowledged that this is partly due to the loss of the Aer Lingus contracts.
It is understood that the group of unions will be presenting alternative proposals to the management tomorrow - which may involve remitting certain unresolved issues to a third party.
The company earlier set out a number of cost-cutting and productivity reforms including 12-hour and overnight rosters that it wants staff to accept.
