Eight people have been taken to hospital following a two-car crash in Co Louth early this morning.
Five were travelling in one car, three in the other. They are aged between 16 and 33.
The crash happened at 12.20am on the road between Drogheda and Donore.
Gardaí say a 33-year-old man is in a critical condition and a 23-year-old woman is seriously hurt.
All eight are being treated at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
The road remains was re-opened at 11am and all diversions have been lifted.
