A series of bomb blasts in the Indian city of Jaipur have killed up to 80 people and injured more than 100.
Police are treating the seven blasts, which occurred in crowded markets, as a terrorist attack.
Scores of people were taken to hospital in Jaipur, which is about 260km from New Delhi and is the capital of the desert state of Rajasthan.
Police said blasts took place within minutes of each other in Jaipur.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh condemned the blasts and appealed for calm.
State borders were sealed and a high alert sounded in Rajasthan state and neighbouring areas.
Police said there were no immediate reports of any backlash and also appealed for calm.
Historic Jaipur, which has a population of more than 2m, is one of India's top tourist resorts and a favourite attraction for foreigners.
