Two men been killed in a two-car collision in Co Offaly.
The driver, who was in his 50s, and a back seat passengerin his 20s, were travelling in the same car.
The crash took place at 1.55pm at Annamoe, Portarlington, Co Offaly.
The men's bodies have been taken to hospital in Portlaoise.
Five other people were taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
The R423 Portarlington to Mountmellick Road has reopened after being closed earlier.
