The Israeli army is to impose a three-day security lockdown on the occupied West Bank ahead of the Jewish state's 60th anniversary celebrations, effective from midnight.
The closure will end midnight on Thursday in accordance with security assessment, the army said in a statement.
Israel marks its Remembrance Day for soldiers killed in conflicts on Wednesday, which is followed a day later by the 60th Independence Day celebrations.
During the closure, the army said it will increase its alertness in order to ensure the safety of the citizens of Israel, while preserving, to the best of its ability, the daily life of the Palestinian population.
Israel regularly closes its crossings with Palestinian territories during national holidays, citing security concerns.
