Two men have died after separate road accidents in counties Offaly and Clare this morning.
A 36-year-old man was fatally injured when his car crashed at a narrow bridge in Annagh, Birr, Co Offaly at about 7am.
The man, a Latvian national, was pronounced dead at Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore. There were no other vehicles involved.
In Co Clare, a man has died following a single-vehicle accident.
The 19-year-old man was fatally injured when his car crashed on the Sixmilebridge to Newmarket On Fergus road at 6.15am.
The body was removed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital at Limerick where a post mortem examination will be carried out tomorrow.
The road in the area is now open.
